Best Beaches

With its cosmopolitan spirit and authentic chic character, Paros attracts thousands of travellers every year, turning the island into a popular holiday destination in Greece.

Whether you prefer quiet sandy beaches or cosmopolitan organized ones, the options will amaze you. Many of the beaches have a blue flag and all are famous for their clean, cool waters.

North

Santa Maria

In the North Eastern coast of the island, near Naoussa, you will find the Big and Small Santa Maria. A Fully organised beach, with a camping site, beach volley and a windsurfing school.
You can enjoy your cocktails and snacks at the beach bar which is open all day long.

Kolymbithres

Very close to Naoussa, Kolymbithres is perhaps the most famous beach in Paros because of its interesting geology. The granite rock formations are millions of years old and have created a unique scenery.

Ai Yannis/Monastiri

Ai Yannis, also known as Monastiri, is a family friendly, organized beach. A more laid back option, this romantic bay is encompassed by gorgeous natural landscape and beautiful green waters.
Every summer from June until September, an annual festival is held at the small amphitheatric theatre in Monastiri offering a variety of moonlight concerts, outdoor cinema films and events, all literally within a few steps from the beach.

East

Golden Beach

A very long and wide sandy beach, with spotless waters, famous for windsurfing and kite surfing. The World Cup of Professional Windsurfing takes place here every year.

Punda beach

Punda Beach is one of the most cosmopolitan sandy beaches of Paros. It offers a big tourist complex with many interesting facilities such as swimming pools, restaurants, bars and shops.

Logaras

Logaras beach is located very close to the village of Piso Livadi. It is a long sandy beach, quiet and family friendly, with interesting choices of restaurants or snack bars.

Ambelas

Ambelas is a small yet lovely fishing village. Mostly famous for the fishing port and the delicious fish taverns, Ambelas is a nice alternative if you prefer not organized beaches. The water is crystal clear and safe for the children.

Kalogeros

This unique beach on Paros island offers you the chance to give yourself a personal spa treatment. At Kalogeros Beach you’re welcome to cover yourself in clay, stand in the warm Greek sun, and let yourself enjoy an unforgettable experience. It can become pretty wavy when there is a northern wind, though!

South

Aliki

The fishing town of Aliki is a perfect place for families with small kinds, as the beach is sandy with very shallow waters. The visitors can enjoy one of the tavernas on the beach with a great view over Aliki Bay with dozens of small fishing boats swaying in the sea. ​

Punta

Punta is well known for water sports and and the small port where you can take the boat to Antiparos. At Punta you will find one of the best schools for windsurfing, diving and kite surfing.

Faragas

This is a wide sandy beach with a series of smaller coves to the right of the main beach. The main beach is fully organized with a beach bar, a restaurant, hygiene facilities and sunbeds, whereas the smaller beaches on the right are reachable only on foot from the main beach and still preserve their authentic scenery.

Lolandonis

A hidden beach in South Paros with clear and calm water, protected from the northern winds of summer. A cute and quiet beach, where you can have drinks and snacks at the small beach bar.

West

Krios

Krios is a small sandy beach inside Parikia bay. The quiet beach is sheltered from the strong meltemi winds of the Aegean summer. A pleasant and protected place. Beach services include sunbeds, umbrellas, and a restaurant.

Parasporos

A large and wide sandy beach with golden sand and clear waters. During summer days, the beach can be stormy, however on calm days Parasporos is an amazing bay for relaxation.

Marchello

Marchello Beach is located in Parikia bay in Paros. It is a fully organized beach, very popular, especially among young people, and in the summer months it can get pretty crowded.
Marcello Beach can be considered as  the natural continuation of the beach of Krios. It is a very long sandy beach with golden sand. Due to its geographical position, Marchelo beach is protected from winds, so it is always calm.

Agia Irini

It is a small sandy beach south-west of Parikia. The palm trees make this bay particularly scenic. It is a beach to relax far from the trouble and the crowd. Certainly worth visiting although you may have to walk a bit from where the nearest bus stop is.
